Teradata MultiLoad – Part 4



Teradata MultiLoad commands can be divided into below two categories-

Support activities- Teradata commands establish MultiLoad sessions with Teradata database and create a support environment for Teradata MultiLoad.

Task activities- Theses commands specify the actual processing that takes place for each Teradata MultiLoad Task.

Support activity commands:-

Teradata MultiLoad supports a subset of Teradata SQL statements. They are: ALTER TABLE, CHECKPOINT, COLLECT STATISTICS, COMMENT, CREATE DATABASE, CREATE MACRO, CREATE TABLE, CREATE VIEW, DATABASE Specifies, DELETE, DELETE DATABASE, DROP DATABASE, DROP TABLE, GIVE, GRANT, INSERT, MODIFY DATABASE, RELEASE MLOAD, RENAME.

To use any other Teradata SQL statements, exit Teradata MultiLoad and enter them from another application, such as Basic Teradata Query (BTEQ).
